The Studio Manager is the heartbeat of the studio—responsible for overseeing daily operations, leading and developing staff, driving member engagement, and ensuring the studio delivers the premium Fierce45 experience. This role combines operational excellence with leadership, customer service, sales, and community building.
studio manager role:
- Part-time position that will turn into full-time position
- Oversee all studio operations, including front‑of‑house, scheduling, point-of-sale (Mariana Tek), memberships, and communications.
- Lead and mentor staff, handling recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance support.
- Maintain client experience, welcoming guests, resolving issues, and fostering community engagement.
- Ensure facility upkeep, including studio cleanliness, equipment maintenance, opening/closing procedures, and retail display standards.
- Drive sales & marketing efforts, which may include promoting memberships, retail items, and community events.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in fostering a welcoming
- Responsible for staffing and supporting coaches—requires adaptability to cover shifts when needed.
- Work variable hours: early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Create a strong, supportive community atmosphere among clients and team


job purpose, duties, and expectations
- The responsibilities and duties of this position described here are representative of those an employee must perform. This is not a comprehensive list and other duties may be assigned.
- Coach a minimum of 16-18 classes per pay period and decrease to 12 classes per pay period after the studio has 50 classes per week on the schedule.
- Continually and proactively address your studio’s needs by identifying your team’s strengths and areas of opportunity.
- Confidently manage conflict in high-pressure situations.
- Demonstrate a solution-oriented mindset and ability to execute within company standards in any situation.
- Attend meetings with the VP of Sales and Marketing to review key performance indicators (KPIs) for campaigns and posts, document trends, and compare results to Studio utilization, new clients, client retention, and company revenue.
- Uplift and elevate coaches to foster attendance and retention.
- Oversee the onboarding, training, and development of all new ASMs and part-time hires.
- Perform reviews of Coaches (part of which includes taking a variety of classes) and provide feedback to Coaches.
- Responsible for new student conversion and member retention while maintaining and growing studio membership and monthly revenue.
- Responsible for overall success of the studio and managing P&L on operating costs (including, but not limited to payroll, retail, class sales, etc.).
- Be an expert on studio-specific and company-wide operational procedures and policies.
- Manage studio-specific client issues and provide outstanding customer service to ensure a best-in-class client experience.
- Use your in-studio time to build community in order to attract potential new clients, retain current clients, and increase membership.
- Optimize studio class schedules.
- Oversee retail merchandising, display tidiness, and inventory back-stock of supplies.
- Establish neighborhood partnerships to grow community.
compensation & benefits:
- Beginning wage for this position is $25/hour. Once the Studio is within a month of open and operating, this position will become an exempt full-time salaried position with a wage of $50,000/year.
- During part-time employment, coaching hours will be paid at an hourly wage determined upon passing test-out of Fierce Movement Training, but will be a minimum of $30/class.
- Upon full-time employment, additional compensation when subbing over class quota per pay period will be paid at a class rate. This rate is determined upon passing the test-out of Fierce Movement Training, but will be a minimum of $30/class.
- For both part-time and full-time employment, privates and Group Sessions completed in excess of class quota will also be paid as additional compensation.
- Private classes are paid as events. They will be added to your paycheck as “additional earnings”. Private session compensation:
- Single: $60
- Duet: $90
- Trio: $100
- Full Buy-out: $120
