Denver Client Spotlight

  • This month we are excited to celebrate Fierce Member Liz Shrout! Liz brings such a warm energy to the studio; we love how friendly and encouraging she is to newbies, and everyone she takes class with. We are truly grateful to have Liz as a client and are excited to celebrate her all month long.

    1. How long have you been coming to Fierce45?

      Technically, I took my first class in 2016.  After finally coming to my senses and realizing that Pilates is what keeps me sane, I resumed my regularly scheduled programming in July of 2023.

    2. Favorite move on the machine?

      Any move prompt followed by a coach saying, “Liz is already in it!”  That means that 1) I am so excited about it that I don’t procrastinate, and 2) I can be in a position to help someone else who might be new to Fierce or new to the move.  We’ve all been there, right?

    3. How has Fierce made a positive impact on your life?

      In 2017 I had back surgery and I struggled to recover effectively.  I was so afraid of re-injuring myself that I avoided anything that was “high-intensity.”  When I came back to Fierce as an unlimited member, I felt myself becoming physically stronger with each class.  And then I started to realize that my increased strength was actually tied to the shift in my mental mindset.  I shed the fear of injury and embraced my capability and commitment to making fitness a priority.  Plus, my husband says my butt looks great in jeans…so that’s a plus!

    4. Why do you choose Fierce over another workout?

      Frankly, the Wash Park studio is only two blocks from my house so geography has a lot to do with it! Most relevant to this question though – I’ve always had a strong mind-body connection to Pilates, but I would often finish sessions feeling like I didn’t get enough of a workout.  Fierce fills that void and then some!  

    5. Tell us a fun fact about you!

      I’ll give you two because I can’t choose! 1) I was voted “Most Likely to Be An Aerobics Instructor” in High School, and 2) Along with friends in my industry, I moonlight as a Rock Star a couple times a year!

  • This month we are excited to feature LoHi member Desmon McMurphy! Desmon is always punctual, thoughtful to coaches and others, and tries every move before modifying. Our coaches genuinely look forward to having him in class and think he is a great role model to clients!

    1. How long have you been coming to Fierce45?

      I have been a part of the fierce fam for about 5ish years and will rarely miss a Wednesday/Thursday class. 

    2. Favorite move on the machine?

      I think my favorite move is now a carriage lunge. I used to hate it thinking I would fall but now I feel confident whenever I have to do it. 

    3. How has Fierce made a positive impact on your life?

      Fierce has had such a positive impact on me because of the community. So many new friends and connections made through fierce and my favorite has to be all the people reading the same books and we get to talk about them before/after class. 

    4. Why do you choose Fierce over another workout?

      I choose fierce as my workout because it’s a chance for me to slow down, focus on my body, and get those shakes!

      I am a twin! 👯‍♂️

  • 🌟 Septmeber FierceFam Spotlight: Kim Fischer 🌟

    On behalf of the Fierce team, we would love to feature Kim as our client spotlight for September! Kim has been an OG at Fierce since the beginning. She has taken over 1400 classes. Kim recently got engaged!! We would love to not only celebrate her as a client this month but celebrate this milestone in her life! 

    1. How long have you been coming to Fierce45?

      My first class at Fierce45 was at the Wash Park studio in July 2016 with Rachel Prudhomme.  I had just moved to Denver from Michigan and tried out Fierce with my ClassPass.  I was hooked!

    2. Favorite move on the machine?

      I don’t have a favorite move but I do have a favorite order for class.  I like to start with core, obliques, then arms and finish strong with legs!

    3. How has Fierce made a positive impact on your life?

      Fierce45 has had a profound impact on my life.  It has not only helped me build a strong physical and mental resilience but fostered meaningful relationships with coaches and other clients.  The discipline required for Fierce45 has reinforced my sense of commitment, making it a significant and positive part of my daily routine.  I have attended over 1400 classes in 8 years.  And it’s still hard every time!

    4. Why do you choose Fierce over another workout?

      I choose Fierce45 because it emphasizes balanced muscle development.  I feel it has enhanced my performance in other activities and reduced my risk of injury.  It is a low-impact workout, making it gentle on the joints while still being highly effective at toning muscles and improving cardio health.  The mind-body connection helps focus on mindful movement which helps reduce stress and improve mental clarity.  As an elementary teacher, it is one of my favorite escapes after a busy day at school.  

    5. Tell us a fun fact about you!

      I’ve got a few fun facts to share!  This year I celebrated my 50th birthday, got engaged, and took 2 trips to Europe.  I will be moving to Alabama to be with my cowboy, Billy, next summer.  Torrey…….would you consider opening the next Fierce45 studio in southern Alabama?!?!?!?

  • Theresa just hit her second Fierce anniversary and has already taken over 400 classes and has gotten so strong! She’s become a true Pilates princess with the most beautiful form and shakes. She’s always the model in class and has a super positive attitude. She is a die-hard regular at the 4:30 pm class at WWP (doesn’t matter the instructor, she will be there.)

    1. How long have you been coming to Fierce45?

      I’ve been coming to Fierce for two years now, since May 2022! 

    2. Favorite move on the machine?

      Choosing a favorite is tough because they’re all challenging, but I love an inner thigh move. 

    3. How has Fierce made a positive impact on your life?

      It’s made such a positive impact on my life! I’ve tried different workouts, but pilates has cultivated a healthy mindset for me. It’s allowed me to feel more confident and strong, inside and out. I’ve even made a few friends along the way! 

    4. Why do you choose Fierce over another workout?

      The coaches are incredibly supportive, welcoming, and encouraging, and the classes strike the perfect balance of challenging and fun. I love showing up every day, being challenged, and leaving feeling proud of myself for giving it my best. 

    5. Tell us a fun fact about you!

      I’m the youngest of 5 siblings, and I have 11 nieces and nephews! 

  • On behalf of the entire management team, we would love to feature Ainsley Ellington as our Client Spotlight for July! 🎉 Ainsley is a true Pilates Princess with the best workout style and aside from the fact that she always looks flawless pre-8 am, she is ✨SO STRONG✨ and has amazing form!! Ainsley is so warm and kind to everyone she runs into, and our Wash Park community would not be the same without her. We know how challenging owning a small business is (shoutout to The Contour Collection), and we love how dedicated she has been to taking classes regularly over the last 3 years. Thank you for choosing Fierce, Ainsley! 💛💛💛

    1. How long have you been coming to Fierce?

      3 years and 2 months!

    2. Favorite move on the machine?

      Back curtsy lunge or skater! Give me all the (side) booty work.

    3. How has Fierce made a positive impact on your life?

      Besides meeting amazing people and making wonderful new friends, the transformation in my body has been incredible! I’ve always been passionate about fitness, but Fierce has toned and shaped my body in ways I never thought possible. I feel stronger and energetically fulfilled every time I get off the machine.

    4. Why do you choose Fierce over other workouts?

      Because of the shakes! Half kidding, but I truly love Fierce because as the saying goes, it’s hard every single time. Plus, the adaptability is everything – you can modify the workout to fit exactly what your body needs at that moment, no matter what you’re going through physically or mentally.

    5. Tell us a fun fact about you!

      Oh boy, this one is tough. Before I started Contour Collection, I spent most of my time creating content for my dog, who somehow became an influencer! 😂 Sadly, I no longer have the time to manage his accounts, but it was a fun (and very random) journey while it lasted!

  • We are thrilled to be featuring Jane Pasciolco as our client of the month in June! Coaches love having her in class and clients adore working out next to her. Jane is so sweet to everyone and she truly brings the sunshine to every class she takes. Jane is a true representation of our core value of positivity and all of our coaches have loved getting to know her over the past year plus.

    1. How long have you been coming to Fierce45? 

      A year and almost 3 months! 

    2. Favorite move on the machine? 

      I LOVE upper body and have been really into serving bicep extension and chest fly combo!

    3. How has Fierce made a positive impact on your life? 

      I’ve learned that we are stronger than we always think! Also, taking 45 or 55 mins out of your day to take a step back and reset has definitely made me become a better person whether it’s through work or social settings.

    4. Why do you choose Fierce over another workout? 

      Fierce always challenges me no matter how many times I’ve done a specific move. I’ve seen my body transform in a way I never thought was possible lol — I can actually see progression on getting abs one day! haha

    5. Tell us a fun fact about you!

      I love playing beach volleyball, checking out speakeasies and having a solid cocktail (or mocktail depending on the mood), traveling and trying new things!

  • 🌼 May FierceFam Spotlight: Maggie Reyes 🌼

    On behalf of the Fierce management team, we would love to feature our resident Hilltop baddie Maggie as our Client Spotlight for May! Maggie, you truly embody a model Fierce client, you are constantly up-leveling challenging moves, and you create such a fun environment for everyone in class. We often have to refocus the class from laughing at your stories and jokes. You show up ready to kick ass every day with fire transitions and form. We are so lucky to have Maggie as a client; she makes life more fun! 

    1. How long have you been coming to Fierce45?

      This month, May, will be my 2 year anniversary with Fierce.  

    2. Favorite move on the machine? 

      I have a list of favorites (and unfavorites😆); pretty much any move that has planking in it I enjoy. 

    3. How has Fierce made a positive impact on your life?

      Prior to joining Fierce, I did not take time for my health and well-being. Fierce has helped me be accountable to myself and I make sure to take 45 minutes out of my day for class. My husband, kids, boss, and colleagues know not to bother me over lunch!! 

    4. Why do you choose Fierce over another workout?

      I love the health benefits of Pilates for the mind and body. I have tried other Pilates classes and found them to be boring. At Fierce, the energy is high, the music is loud and the coaches push you to do your best. 

    5. Tell us a fun fact about you!

      My first job was working retail at Contempo Casuals…IYKYK!

  • 🌷 April FierceFam Spotlight: Andri Halouska 🌷

    On behalf of the entire management team, we would love to feature Andri as our Client Spotlight for April! 🎉  We love that Andri made the leap from 8x/month to the year unlimited this year and has pushed herself! She is only a couple of classes away from hitting her 100th class – so exciting! Andri always comes into the studio with the warmest smile and friendliest attitude. Truly, she may be the only person in history ever seen smiling in a back carriage lunge. 🫠

    1. How long have you been coming to Fierce45?

      Since last April

    2. What is your favorite move on the machine?

      Carriage lunge or Sprinter — legs for days!

    3. How has Fierce made a positive impact on your life?

      Fierce is a space that helps me decompress from a busy work day and allows me to feel my best mentally and physically. 

    4. Why do you choose Fierce over another workout?

      I love that it’s a low-impact, full-body workout that I can feel strengthening while still protecting my body.

    5. Tell us a fun fact about you!

      I have extremely small feet and can fit into kids’ shoes. 🙂

  • On behalf of the entire management team, we would love to feature Erin Antesberger as our Client Spotlight for March! 🥳 Erin makes every room she enters a brighter, more joyful space – her energy, humor, and ability to lift others up is incredible. We love that she has made Fierce friends and brought the entire early am community a little closer together ♥️ We are so grateful to have Erin as a client!!

    1. How long have you been coming to Fierce45?

      Almost 2 years!! June will be 2 years.

    2. Favorite move on the machine?

      This is a tough one but I think it’s hover crunch or plank to pike (I like pain;))

    3. How has Fierce made a positive impact on your life?

      I have experienced a lot of physical pain from years of running and while I still run, I have found that this routine has made my body stronger. The friendships I have made are the icing on the cake. I look forward to getting up in the dark to see the amazing instructors and the “regulars.” Erin H has become a very close friend and we literally met going to Fierce!

    4. Why do you choose Fierce over another workout?

      The results are unmatched. I am stronger and FEEL good…plus my clothes fit better!

    5. Tell us a fun fact about you!

      A fun fact…I am 50% Guyanese! My dad is from South America with ancestors from India. Other than that, Joy and I met teaching at Bar Method in 2008 so I always love that one! Finding friends through fitness is the BEST!

  • Josalyn is an absolute force to be reckoned with at Fierce and we are truly obsessed. She always shows up for herself, her fellow clients, and coaches in the most real and supportive way possible (her shout-outs to coaches and clients in class are everything)! We LOVE that she is constantly bringing friends to work out, and her firey spirit is adored by all. If you see her in-studio, make sure to congratulate her on hitting 100 classes this past month, too!

    1. How long have you been coming to Fierce45?

      Since June 2023?!? 

    2. Favorite move on the machine?

      Pike!!! Any core work!

    3. How has Fierce made a positive impact on your life?

      Not only has Fierce transformed my body to be in tip-top bikini-ready shape but the coaches and staff make me feel like I am home.  Everyone is always so welcoming and encouraging. I come in 45 minutes every day and it resets not just my body but my mind. I walk out of Fierce ready to conquer anything life throws at me! 

    4. Why do you choose Fierce over another workout?

      The reformer is such a force to be reckoned with! Just when you think you got the moves (or at least the correct foot 🤪), the coaches throw in a challenge and you go back to the struggle. The struggle is so real—> but so INCREDIBLY satisfying.

      I have a giant baby bear, Akita named Kodiak. He’s a floof and has the best personality!
