As the Studio Manager, you are the heartbeat of the studio — overseeing daily operations, staff leadership, member engagement, and premium experience delivery. This role combines operational excellence with leadership, customer service, sales, and community development, and reports directly to Fierce45 leadership. This position begins part-time and transitions to full-time upon the studio building a full class schedule, and requires variable hours including some early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
As a Fierce45 Studio Manager, you will lead by example: coaching classes using our FierceFormer® and FierceMovement® methodology, building authentic connections with clients and staff, and creating an empowering, community-driven experience for everyone who walks through the door.

job purpose, duties, and expectations:
- Oversee front-of-house operations, scheduling, point-of-sale systems (MarianaTek), memberships, and client communications.
- Lead staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Maintain facility standards, including cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and retail displays.
- Coach 16–18 classes per pay period, reducing to 14 classes once the studio reaches ~40 total classes.
- Drive sales, membership growth, and client retention initiatives.
- Manage studio P&L, including payroll, retail, and class sales performance.
- Build community partnerships and foster Fierce45’s studio culture.
- Conduct staff performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Optimize class schedules and retail merchandising.
- Uphold professionalism and Fierce45’s Core Values of Community, Positivity, and Challenge both in and out of the studio.
- Ensure that all Fierce45 policies, procedures, and brand standards are followed studio-wide.
- Cover coaching or front-desk shifts as needed to ensure an uninterrupted client experience.
- Attend mandatory Fierce45 company trainings and meetings that may be outside of scheduled hours.


Required Skills and Abilities:

- Adaptability to cover shifts, including coaching, front desk, or administrative duties, as needed.
- Operational expertise in studio procedures, policies, and point-of-sale systems.
- Availability to work variable hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to demonstrate the FierceMovement® methodology and lead a 45-minute high-intensity class.
- Prior group fitness or studio management experience is preferred, but not required.
- Current CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain before start date).

compensation & benefits:
- This position begins as part-time, non-exempt, and hourly, transitioning to a full-time, salaried position upon studio launch.
- Part-Time Phase pay range: $32,000 – $38,000 per year, commensurate with experience and skill level. The bottom of the range will be at or above the applicable New York Downstate minimum wage in effect at hire ($17.00/hour for 2026).
- Additional class compensation above quota during the Full-Time Phase at a minimum of $32/class.
- Pay frequency during the Part-Time Phase: Weekly, in compliance with NY Labor Law § 191 manual-worker requirements.
- Full-Time Phase (upon full class schedule): Annual salary range of $65,000-$70,00, commensurate with experience and skill level, disclosed in accordance with NY Pay Transparency Law § 194-b.
- Additional class compensation above quota during the Full-Time Phase at a minimum of $32/class.
- Privates are paid as separate events at the following rates: Single $60, Duet $90, Trio $100, Full Buy-out $120.

- Eligibility for New York State Paid Family Leave (PFL) after meeting statutory eligibility thresholds.
