  • We are kicking off our Fierce45 10 Year Anniversary with an interview with our Founder, Torrey Newman:

    Fierce started many many years before it actually opened…..I always knew that I would have my own business at some point. I was always an entrepreneur even starting at a young age. I used to set up lemonade stands and sell sweatshirts decorated with puff paint at our neighborhood shopping center! The spark that truly launched Fierce came through a daily meditation practice. I was teaching yoga and taking some time to figure out what I wanted to create and I stumbled onto this new type of Pilates…..I fell in love! I knew that I could take this type of workout and make it my own and moreover create a studio space and environment that would be welcoming, non judgmental, open and inspiring to everyone!

    I’m excited for the future of Fierce45 as we launch into a few new markets this coming year. We will continue to grow at our own pace insuring the highest quality of standards. I just want to continue to have a positive impact of our community – through mental and physical strength and setting intentions with those two things- the sky is the limit.

    1. What are a couple of your favorite memories? SO SO MANY! The coach trainings, the photo shoots, the holiday parties and so many Fierce babies!
    2. What do you hope clients get out of Fierce? Most of all a warm and welcoming community of potentially life long friends! A stronger body and mind of course. And perhaps even on a greater scale we truly make an impact on someone’s life.
    3. Where do you want to see it go for the next ten years? I would love to see Fierce grow to be a brand that people can count on – a brand that grows but in a smart way without hurry and without losing our quality. 
    4. What is one word to describe what Fierce means to you? Family!
    5. Your favorite move on the machine. Fierce crunch – with a ball and block and weights : ) 

    My hope is that through the challenging physical work that Fierce classes offer, each person has the opportunity to observe their internal dialogue—and, if needed, shift how they speak to themselves. We are often so hard on ourselves and so critical. My wish is that, even for brief moments, we lift ourselves up and believe in our own strength. The more we practice that in class, the more it carries over into our everyday lives. Maybe, over time, we create a more positive and loving world between our own ears—a practice of radical self-love. – Torrey Newman

  • This month, we are thrilled to celebrate Melissa Modelson as our Client Spotlight! Melissa is an absolute joy to have in class. Since her very first session, her strength and form have improved tremendously thanks to her hard work, consistency, and perseverance. Even though 6:30 AM isn’t her favorite class time, she still shows up for herself—and for us—which we appreciate more than she knows! Melissa always stays fully engaged, listens closely to coaching cues, and brings a great attitude to every workout. Plus, she’s always ready to laugh at Coach Nat’s jokes (even when they’re a little questionable 🤭😂). We are so grateful to have Melissa as part of our community!

    1. How long have you coming to Fierce45? I joined in late October, and I started coming regularly in December.
    2. Favorite move on the machine? Any of the arm movements since I feel like my arms are my weakest part (except for the underhand ones off the back – those are painful!)
    3. How has Fierce made a positive impact on your life? I feel stronger than I ever have before, and it’s the part of my day that I most look forward to.  It’s a peaceful (and painful) 45 minutes where I don’t worry about anything else but balancing and holding on.  And it’s somehow made me into a morning person with the 6:30 classes! 
    4. Why do you choose Fierce over another workout? It’s a full body workout that I can get done and dusted (as Nat says) within 45 minutes.  I’ve always loved doing Pilates and when I heard about Fierece45, it was described as “Pilates on steroids” which just sounded right up my alley.  And the environment has been so friendly and welcoming! 
    5. Tell us a fun fact about you! I have a face full of metal due to double jaw surgery! 

  • 🌷April FierceFam Spotlight: Kaitlyn Curtis 🌷

    On behalf of the Fierce management team, help us congratulate Kaitlyn as your April spotlight. We have all gotten to know and love her over the past 4+ years as a Fierce client! We are incredibly inspired by her strength both mentally and physically during her pregnancy and NICU/post-partum journey – such a badass Mama! We love that she pops up at literally almost every Fierce studio & it is always a treat to have Kaitlyn in class! She is always encouraging and is such a welcoming presence to have down at our new Greenwood studio!

    1. How long have you coming to Fierce45? My mom and I started together in September of 2020 – we’ve been coming 4-5x a week ever since. Having this outlet with my mama really is everything to me.
    2. Favorite move on the machine? I love a floor curtsy lunge or a good platform sprinter. Please don’t give me a kneeling crunch.
    3. How has Fierce made a positive impact on your life? It has taught me so much about the body and how important your core is in every day life. I did Fierce up until I couldn’t in my pregnancy with twins (and years leading up to pregnancy) and I was able to avoid my abs separating, which is common. The instructors and community are so kind and welcoming – they want you to succeed!
    4. Why do you choose Fierce over another workout? It’s a total body workout. You are constantly being challenged and it really is HARD every time! Even this many years later – we keep coming back for more!
    5. Tell us a fun fact about you! I have boy/girl twins, Jack and Summer who are the strongest little babies – born at only 29 weeks (2 months of NICU time) they are healthy, thriving and turn ONE this month! ❤️

  • This month we are excited to celebrate a ROCKSTAR in our community, Danielle Prisco for her commitment to Fierce45 and our 6:30am classes! Danielle is on track to hit every class milestone there is! We are so proud of her. 💖 💖 Starting back in November 2024, she came into the studio so nervous for her first class but now her determination is BEYOND admirable. We love the energy and laughs Danielle brings while she curses between each move we do. 😊  We are so lucky to you her a part of our Fierce family!

    1. How long have you coming to Fierce45? I started at Fierce 45 October 28, 2024.
    2. Favorite move on the machine? If I had to pick one of my favorite moves, it would be between  sprinters (ouch) and obliques (where I have to continue to remember to breathe) lol 
    3. How has Fierce made a positive impact on your life? I truly believe that Fierce 45 has made such a positive impact on my life.  At age 62,  I have never felt better, stronger, more confident.  (not to mention my clothes look awesome on me now. Lol)   Thank you Fierce 45!!!! 
    4. Why do you choose Fierce over another workout? Well, someone who has NOT EXERCISED IN OVER 20 YEARS (truth) was very hesitant.  I am not a gym person, never have been, but if it weren’t for my daughter, Sami, I never would have known about Fierce 45.  The reviews were amazing.  She did a lot of research on Fierce 45 and everything came back passing with flying colors.   She knew what would work for me.  I was nervous/scared when I walked into the Fierce 45 door.   And I have to say being greeted by Natalia , her explaining to me what Fierce 45 was  all  about,  the benefits, goals and the results gave me such a feeling of calm  and it drew my  curiosity.   That was my first day at Fierce 45 and I haven’t stopped since.   It is so addicting… especially when you see the results that I have seen.  The Instructors are SO AMAZING, very experienced and work us like there is no tomorrow!!!  Their excitement towards our outcome is off the charts and genuine.  LOVE THEM!!
    5. Tell us a fun fact about you! I’m a twin! 

  • This month we are thrilled to spotlight a Cherry Hills client Alex McDermott! Alex brings such a great energy to the studio; ready to work hard, and so friendly and encouraging to newbies, and everyone she takes class with. We are truly grateful to have you as part of the Cherry Hills community!

    1. How long have you been coming to Fierce45?

      I’ve been coming to Fierce a little over 1.5 years now. I started in the spring of 2023.

    2. Favorite move on the machine?

      I love a good carriage lunge. I actually like legs the least but that move makes me feel strong! Don’t ask me to do any move off the back pegs.

    3. How has Fierce made a positive impact on your life?

      Fierce has allowed me to continue doing all the things I love to do—be outside and active with my family. I had a back injury two years ago and had to give up the high-intensity exercise I’d always loved, and I noticed how much that had an impact on my identity and mental health. I knew Pilates would help heal my back, but Fierce is the best of everything; it keeps my core strong but also satisfies that itch I have to do something that is ridiculously hard every time.

    4. Why do you choose Fierce over another workout?

      I choose Fierce because it’s one of the only kinds of exercise I can do with confidence that I won’t re-injure myself. This means I can do all the other parts of my life with confidence too. I also love the coaches and appreciate how encouraging every trip to the studio is.

    5. Tell us a fun fact about you!

      I have a black belt in Taekwondo!

  • This month we are excited to feature our first client of the month in New York – Isabel Fairbanks!. We are always excited to see her name in class and she always comes to the studio with a big smile on her face! Isabel is always up for any challenge in class.  Thank you for being such an amazing, positive part of our Fierce community! 

    1. How long have you been coming to Fierce45?

      Since they opened in September. 

    2. Favorite move on the machine?

       Back flying corkscrew

    3. How has Fierce made a positive impact on your life?

      I love Fierce! The teachers are amazing and I always feel energized after every class.

    4. Why do you choose Fierce over another workout?

      Because it is so fun and there is always room for improvement in form and strength. It takes a few classes to get the hang of each position and it is definitely physically challenging, but thinking about form and pace moves my focus away from the physical difficulty.

    5. Tell us a fun fact about you!

      I have a sheepadoodle named Plink!

  • This month we are excited to celebrate Fierce Member Liz Shrout! Liz brings such a warm energy to the studio; we love how friendly and encouraging she is to newbies, and everyone she takes class with. We are truly grateful to have Liz as a client and are excited to celebrate her all month long.

    1. How long have you been coming to Fierce45?

      Technically, I took my first class in 2016.  After finally coming to my senses and realizing that Pilates is what keeps me sane, I resumed my regularly scheduled programming in July of 2023.

    2. Favorite move on the machine?

      Any move prompt followed by a coach saying, “Liz is already in it!”  That means that 1) I am so excited about it that I don’t procrastinate, and 2) I can be in a position to help someone else who might be new to Fierce or new to the move.  We’ve all been there, right?

    3. How has Fierce made a positive impact on your life?

      In 2017 I had back surgery and I struggled to recover effectively.  I was so afraid of re-injuring myself that I avoided anything that was “high-intensity.”  When I came back to Fierce as an unlimited member, I felt myself becoming physically stronger with each class.  And then I started to realize that my increased strength was actually tied to the shift in my mental mindset.  I shed the fear of injury and embraced my capability and commitment to making fitness a priority.  Plus, my husband says my butt looks great in jeans…so that’s a plus!

    4. Why do you choose Fierce over another workout?

      Frankly, the Wash Park studio is only two blocks from my house so geography has a lot to do with it! Most relevant to this question though – I’ve always had a strong mind-body connection to Pilates, but I would often finish sessions feeling like I didn’t get enough of a workout.  Fierce fills that void and then some!  

    5. Tell us a fun fact about you!

      I’ll give you two because I can’t choose! 1) I was voted “Most Likely to Be An Aerobics Instructor” in High School, and 2) Along with friends in my industry, I moonlight as a Rock Star a couple times a year!

  • This month we are excited to feature LoHi member Desmon McMurphy! Desmon is always punctual, thoughtful to coaches and others, and tries every move before modifying. Our coaches genuinely look forward to having him in class and think he is a great role model to clients!

    1. How long have you been coming to Fierce45?

      I have been a part of the fierce fam for about 5ish years and will rarely miss a Wednesday/Thursday class. 

    2. Favorite move on the machine?

      I think my favorite move is now a carriage lunge. I used to hate it thinking I would fall but now I feel confident whenever I have to do it. 

    3. How has Fierce made a positive impact on your life?

      Fierce has had such a positive impact on me because of the community. So many new friends and connections made through fierce and my favorite has to be all the people reading the same books and we get to talk about them before/after class. 

    4. Why do you choose Fierce over another workout?

      I choose fierce as my workout because it’s a chance for me to slow down, focus on my body, and get those shakes!

      I am a twin! 👯‍♂️

  • 🌟 Septmeber FierceFam Spotlight: Kim Fischer 🌟

    On behalf of the Fierce team, we would love to feature Kim as our client spotlight for September! Kim has been an OG at Fierce since the beginning. She has taken over 1400 classes. Kim recently got engaged!! We would love to not only celebrate her as a client this month but celebrate this milestone in her life! 

    1. How long have you been coming to Fierce45?

      My first class at Fierce45 was at the Wash Park studio in July 2016 with Rachel Prudhomme.  I had just moved to Denver from Michigan and tried out Fierce with my ClassPass.  I was hooked!

    2. Favorite move on the machine?

      I don’t have a favorite move but I do have a favorite order for class.  I like to start with core, obliques, then arms and finish strong with legs!

    3. How has Fierce made a positive impact on your life?

      Fierce45 has had a profound impact on my life.  It has not only helped me build a strong physical and mental resilience but fostered meaningful relationships with coaches and other clients.  The discipline required for Fierce45 has reinforced my sense of commitment, making it a significant and positive part of my daily routine.  I have attended over 1400 classes in 8 years.  And it’s still hard every time!

    4. Why do you choose Fierce over another workout?

      I choose Fierce45 because it emphasizes balanced muscle development.  I feel it has enhanced my performance in other activities and reduced my risk of injury.  It is a low-impact workout, making it gentle on the joints while still being highly effective at toning muscles and improving cardio health.  The mind-body connection helps focus on mindful movement which helps reduce stress and improve mental clarity.  As an elementary teacher, it is one of my favorite escapes after a busy day at school.  

    5. Tell us a fun fact about you!

      I’ve got a few fun facts to share!  This year I celebrated my 50th birthday, got engaged, and took 2 trips to Europe.  I will be moving to Alabama to be with my cowboy, Billy, next summer.  Torrey…….would you consider opening the next Fierce45 studio in southern Alabama?!?!?!?

  • Theresa just hit her second Fierce anniversary and has already taken over 400 classes and has gotten so strong! She’s become a true Pilates princess with the most beautiful form and shakes. She’s always the model in class and has a super positive attitude. She is a die-hard regular at the 4:30 pm class at WWP (doesn’t matter the instructor, she will be there.)

    1. How long have you been coming to Fierce45?

      I’ve been coming to Fierce for two years now, since May 2022! 

    2. Favorite move on the machine?

      Choosing a favorite is tough because they’re all challenging, but I love an inner thigh move. 

    3. How has Fierce made a positive impact on your life?

      It’s made such a positive impact on my life! I’ve tried different workouts, but pilates has cultivated a healthy mindset for me. It’s allowed me to feel more confident and strong, inside and out. I’ve even made a few friends along the way! 

    4. Why do you choose Fierce over another workout?

      The coaches are incredibly supportive, welcoming, and encouraging, and the classes strike the perfect balance of challenging and fun. I love showing up every day, being challenged, and leaving feeling proud of myself for giving it my best.

      I’m the youngest of 5 siblings, and I have 11 nieces and nephews!
